Eary Farm Equipment

Early farm equipment in the museum's collection, like this horse collar and equipment to shoe horses, dates from the days when tools were often hand-carved and were powered either by horses or by human muscle. Visitors are impressed when they realize that these primitive tools produced the crops which fed Iowan families from the 1830's on.
