The Elkader Historical Society is a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization. Tax deductible donations of funds for the Society or artifacts for the Carter House Museum can be made through the officers and directors of the board. An open endowment to insure the future of the Society has been established with the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque.
